About Us! | |
| The Gold Rush Champions (GRC) were officially formed in December 1996 and we currently have over 80 members, with more joining each month. There is no charge to be a Champion, and we have a great group of people. Our members cover an area from Reno to Stockton, Mokelumne Hill to Truckee, and all points in between. The Champions group provides a great base for support, puppy sitting, dog sitting, coordinating rides to Santa Rosa, and raising funds for CCI. Currently, we are in the process of creating new events, but some of our on-going projects are the Dawgs in the Ruff Golf Tournament, See's Candy Sales (Christmas and Valentine's Day), the Human Race, and assisting with the Lions District 4-C5 annual Crab Feast. We also staff booths at various fairs and events, and do presentations for a variety of groups. Last year our members raised well over $50,000 for CCI! We also plan social outings for the Champions and the pups in training on a regular basis, and to date have been to Folsom Lake, took an Amtrak trip to Jack London Square and a ferry trip to Angel Island, visited the bowling alley, fire station, and the peewee golf course. We are always looking for new ideas. |

Our Newsletter! | |
We publish a monthly newsletter, called The Nugget. The Nugget contains news about GRC events and articles about and by our members. It also lists the puppy class schedule, call-in dates and other items of interest. The newsletter is sent to GRC Members by mail. GRC Email List! | |
| The GRC has an email list (through Yahoo Groups) to help get the word out within our membership. This is NOT a social list, it is a communication medium for members. Appropriate postings would be; requests for puppy sitters, requests for volunteers, announcements of events, plea's for help, requests or offers for rides to Santa Rosa, etc. If you are already a member and are not on the email list or need to change your address, send an email to our Membership Coordinator. Once you are a member of the email list, you can send an email to everyone using the address: grcgroup@yahoogroups.com |

It is open to any one interested in CCI, such as: graduates, puppy raisers, breeder caretakers, volunteers. etc. Since it is on Yahoo Groups you can set up your member options in a number of ways.
