Janel Edmiston and Gannon

Janel is a very energetic woman, with a wonderful sense of humor and a smile that lights up any room. A very caring person, she is always concerned about the welfare of others. Prior to receiving Gannon, Janel was a volunteer CCI puppy raiser. One of the most important aspects of having Gannon in Janel's life is the sense of freedom and independence that Gannon provides by alerting her to sounds. "Friends don't have to call me before visiting, so that I can answer the door and Gannon helps me feel more confident being home alone with the children, when my husband is working."

Janel has a B.A. Degree from Sacramento State University, but is currently a full-time stay-at-home mom, which she loves doing. In her spare time she volunteers as a soccer and softball coach and creates scrapbook albums. Janel, her husband, Jim, children, Brian, Christine and Carolyn live in Elk Grove, CA.
