"For the past 11 years, it has been my honor to be accompanied by Ashelby, better known as Shelby, my Canine Companion for Independence. Shelby accompanies me everywhere. She is always ready to help when I need her. She picks things up, runs errands for me and even helps sort the laundry. As a beautiful golden retriever with an enthusiastic wag, one of her greatest gifts is to bring a smile to the face of everyone she meets. I am so grateful to her puppy raisers and to the entire CCI organization for providing such an exceptional dog that enables me to lead a more active life. She's such a wonderful friend."
